Singing Jazz and Gospel Music
Since high school I wanted to sing jazz. I love the complexity of the music. How it can be organized chaos developed each time into something unique and creative. Singing as a child came easy but practicing singing all 3 parts just for fun (black gospel usually uses 3 part harmonies except for that Richard Smallwood) it developed my ear and forced me to be sensitive to the necessity of beautiful melodies embellished with complex harmony. Something I can never take away.
